Yas Marina Island

Here's a few pictures of Yas Marina Island and it's F1 circuit.
Built by a Malaysian Engineering firm, it is a prominent landmark of this island.
I went for a night stroll at this island, which is not too far away from Abu Dhabi island itself.

Let the pictures describe the island;

Dubai Round 2

So we went to Dubai again for more sightseeing.
This time it was a little bit different.
We checked out the Burj Khalifa(828m).
It was really breezy up there.
The wind was blowing like crazy.
The view was really breathtaking and it is nothing like the KL Tower.
The 124th floor was almost twice KL tower's observatory deck.

And more shopping.
I bought stuff! ;)

For food, we went to a very small secluded shop in Deira, the old town of Dubai.
Typical China food was served.
The shop looked very shoddy and shabby but the food was way better than Hotel food.
We also had Chinese food prepared by a Hong Kong Chef near the Dubai Creek.
He gave us complimentary coffee and desserts.
And I think I know why he did that. Haha!

Somehow, hotel food in Dubai tastes unexpectedly not so good.

Look at all the dates! It's the dates season!

Look at the roof of Dubai Mall. Even the roof has such a funky design.

A Few Days in Dubai

Hallo.

So mummy, daddy and I went to Dubai for holiday.

An hour's drive from Abu Dhabi, not so tiring after all.

It was quite a different experience, looking at our previous holiday destinations where it's always non but beach resorts.
For a change, we decided to stay at some place at the very heart of Dubai city rather than some beach resort.

Anyway, it's pretty useless to stay at beach resorts now, looking at the weather conditions where temperatures can soar up to 45 degrees Celsius.
My stay at Shangri-la Hotel was quite fun though.

Bird's eye view from the 35th floor of the tower is quite breathtaking with views of busy Sheikh Zayed Road, iconic towers of Dubai such as the Emirates towers and not leaving out the tallest building in the world; the Burj Khalifa.

If I'm not wrong, Burj means tower in Arabic right?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The 5th of August was a special day.

It was daddy's birthday. =)

We bought 2 slices of cakes of different flavours (1 whole cake would have been way too much to finish) but we did not have candles though..no big deal larh..hehe.

To satisfy daddy's, mummy's and my appetite for food, we went to China Sea(authentic Chinese food), Bento-ya(Japanese), Shang Palace, and a couple more places.

The food was great.

The service was great, though a little pricey.

Food in Malaysia and in Germany is way cheaper.

Nevertheless, it's good experience.

By the way, I swam at the pool.

I think I am suffering from sun-burn.

My back is excruciatingly itchy.

Bugger.

It's the chop-stick paper casing. Nice pic.

I like candid pics! For the first time daddy and mummy did not pose formally which they always do. I took the pic without them realizing though.

Here's another pic from the right side of the room window. It extents out like a cantilever.
