Vrrooommm ! !

Yeah yeah… I know, it’s been a while. MIA for a month. Total silence. Blame the weather! It’s so erratic! Today it can be three degrees outside.. and the next day seventeen degrees. Isn’t it ridiculous? I mean, what is wrong?? Owhhkay.. I should really stop belaboring on this pointless issue. But I just can’t help it. It’s making me sick. OK fine.

Last weekend I was at Stuttgart. Visited Mercedes Museum. It was quite cool. All the old cars and stuff.. you know..the vintage cars. Owh owh..Lewis Hamilton was there! But too bad I’m not a fan of that dude(although he won this year’s championship by just one point to Massa, and I’m not trying to lampoon Hamilton. No saw losers around.). Kimi rules! Haha.. it was quite coincidental. Hamilton’s teammate was there, and David Coulthard was there too doing F1 car demonstrations. And just so you know, entrance was free..yay! But headphone audio guides were not distributed..bleahh. Bah..who cares..it’s still free! Let’s save Euros!

So, we walked all around the museum, exploring each and every corner possible, saw old stuff, took some pictures, and watched some drifting! There was some demonstration by Mercedes on some Mercedes drifting cars. It was quite cool. The sound and yeah, the burnt tyre smell from all the drifting but it was cool. Those engines roared so loud that I thought I was going to get my ear drums burst..goodness. This really reminds me of this year’s F1 race at Sepang. Hmmm.. miss those days..reminiscing..

We kind of spent the whole day there Looking at exhibits, then adjourned for Schnitzel somewhere one hour away from Stuttgart. It was huge. Seriously huge. Luckily I finished my portion although a couple of my friends did not and had to ‘bungkus’. Lol. This is the first German restaurant which I have gone to that is cool with taking away unfinished food on the table. Yes..Uncommon sight.

Oh yeah oh yeah! Missed out one thing. Before the Schnitzel, we went to a TV tower. Apparently it is the first concrete TV tour in the world. I don’t know. Not too sure about how true it is. Too bad we did not go up to the tower because it was already kinda late , so we just hanged around the tower, starring up at it, blankly. Haha.

So below are some pictures and two short clips I captured at the museum (which took me so long to upload into the blog..) !!! Nice place to visit. =D

Main train station in Stuttgart.

Yeah, train station.

Buildings within museum vicinity.

Mercedes museum.

I like this pic!

Interior of museum.

Nice lift..haha. It has only one level selection which is the highest level (simply because the museum tour starts from the top floor).

One of the earliest motors.

Early inventions of motoring industry.

Hmm.. antiques.

Vintage cars.

More vintage exhibits.

GOLDEN CAR! Not really, it's the lighting.

Limousine.

Whooh..Pope's car.

Check out the Pope's cool seat! This car was specially made in order to be seen by the people as well as for protection.

Vintage exhibits.

Idea of the airbag system mooted a long time ago (decades).

Cool car/ truck. I don't know..haha.

Arnold Schwarzeneggers' car during his tenure as Governor of California till he changed his vehicle.

A little description of his car.

Notice the trucks behind??

This is a hybrid engine for Merc S Class.

A little clip on the hybrid engine. Quite interesting tho. The illumination is cool.

Concept car.

Solar powered car.

This car has no steering wheel. It is maneuvered by a joy stick.

Engine of an F1 car.

Yeah, the crowd watching Hamiltons' demonstrations.

Heheh..

Yeah, I loaned them my car. I'm generous..haha!

More F1 cars.

Meant for drifting??

Spine-chilling

Hmmm…today was quite an interesting day excluding the hectic study routine obviously. Today’s special event was the visit to the National Theater. As you all know, this is the place where operas, plays, and so fourth take place. So, the guide took us for a little tour around the theater as well as the dressing rooms and the store where all the costumes are kept. According to the guide, there are approximately 1 million pieces of costumes (including hats, headgear, etc.) in that store and that was crazy. There were so many costumes ranging from the early Roman Empire days, Gothic, Renaissance, and the modern days. Haha..cool heh.

Then, we proceeded for a play entitled ‘Heimgegangen’ . It means pass away literally. This play was about some man whose wife was his mother and he had no clue about it till his wife’s last breath(well, she told him at that moment). There’s a little irony where his wife died of cancer and he, a smoker (he smoked as part of the play and it stunk) had no cancer. It was kinda spooky because there was a coffin with a picture of his Mary Jones, smacked right in the middle of the stage. Really gives me the creeps. It’s just an extremely short summary. There is more to it but I’m lazy too type..hehe.

Sorry got no picture la. Audiences were not allowed to take pictures as it might irritate the performers.

By the way, again, here are three pictures of a place where grapes are grown for wine production. (You call wine Sekt in German)

Grape trees.

Nice view.

Place where wine bottles are stored. Some are really old (more than 40 years old).

Volksfest

Guten Tag. Today’s class was sooooo boring… Guess what, we had C programming…yay.. :s . We had four 45 minutes sessions of this subject today. Learning about the computer language (which I have no clue at all) is definitely not my cup of tea. Having to do all those special commands and stuff…urgh..is really killing me. Well, at least there was no homework but I will still need to comprehend them or else, I will be dead meat.
I foresee really tedious weeks ahead and I envisage more homework piling up. Therefore it means less time spent on blogging. Currently, I still take a very long time to post blogs because I am still not really familiar with the blogging system and all. I still need to explore more on the functions in the site. Darn, I just suck with computers except for Starcraft(which I have not played since coming to Germany) and CS haha!
By the way, I’ve just came back from a ‘Volksfest’ a couple of minutes ago which is not far from where I stay and here are some pictures. There were fire crackers but they were nothing as compared to the ones in Malaysia but it was nice with all the beer and sausages and the lively atmosphere. We played bumper cars and I was on the verge of puking after having had a large glass of beer.
Argh dammmm…I’ve just spent 30 euros! Shit..
A beer for everyone. The guy on the far right is from Singapore. Cool heh.

This is 'Volksfest'.

So..here are some pictures of Mannheim Wasserturm which I’ve been to a couple of weeks ago. And again, I am posting these pictures really late. Sorry I am a lazy person and procrastinating is just part of me.
:)

Wasserturm in the background.

Enjoying beer at a German pub.

Nice glasses..heheh.

We adjourned for beer again at night(It was 3am then.) with some loud music in a mini so-called disco..haha. Everyone was groggy.
