Day 1

So today was the first day of the semester. Everything turned out normal. The whole university was no doubt packed like a market. There were students at every corner of the university. Today’s lecture started off with physics. Oh yeah, I had a problem finding the class room (was at the wrong building) and so, I was late for class but it was just five minutes. The lecturer was a German and he had really weird accents. It was hard to comprehend his lectures but after some time through the lecture, I got used to it.

Next was my electrical engineering lecture that lasted an hour and a half. And so, the lecturer started off with basic electrical components and circuits. It was owwhhkkaayy. And he had a different slang too, which I had to adapt and not to mention his hand-writing which was cursive that I have to guess those words..haha. Well, I guess everyone have their own quirks and twists.
Finally was the inter-cultural competence class where we learn about err…cultures?? Yeah. As well as learning to ‘live’ in Germany. Haha..do I sound very general? Imprecise? I can’t really describe it. Anyway, this was the class that was livelier as compared to the previous two lectures. So, it kinda ‘woke’ me up from day dreaming. LOL.

The pictures below were taken at Heidelberg. There was a trip to Heidelberg organized by the university on the 18th of last month. I know it’s a little late that I am posting the pictures up now but it doesn’t really matter right??

View from the foot of the hill.

Tram or Bergbahn leading to the summit.

A view of the city below. If I'm not wrong, its Heidelberg itself.

Another picture.

Picture of a part of the Schloss.

This is a wine cask( actually I can't remember whether beer or wine was stored) and it's really big and apparently, one of the king's men drowned inside this cask. As you can see, there is a stairs on the right side of the cask. So, use your imagination.

View of the river from the castle.

There is a 'story' behind this.

This tower contained gun powder but was accidentally blasted by the...French? Ah..I'm so forgetful.

View of the castle.

Another view of the castle( background).
